The San Pedro Classic Fly Fishing Tournament is an annual catch-and-release event held in the pristine waters surrounding Ambergris Caye, Belize. Designed to celebrate the art of fly fishing while giving back to the community, the tournament welcomes anglers of all skill levels for three days of exciting, conservation-minded competition.​​​​​
WHERE WE FISH
Fishing boundaries span Ambergris Caye and the surrounding cayes—encompassing all Belizean waters. Thanks to a flexible, photo and video submission format, participants can fish throughout this entire region, making the tournament accessible while maintaining a high standard of fair play and environmental responsibility.
More than just a tournament, the San Pedro Classic is a vibrant celebration of Belize’s natural beauty, fly fishing culture, and coastal community spirit. It serves as a platform to promote sustainable fishing practices, raise awareness about marine conservation, and inspire future generations of anglers.

From thrilling days spent chasing bonefish, tarpon, and permit to the lively Pop-Up Market, Fly Casting Challenge, and Fly Rod Assembly Competition, the SPCFFT truly offers something for everyone.

GIVING BACK
As a not-for-profit initiative, all proceeds from the San Pedro Classic Fly Fishing Tournament are donated to two causes close to our hearts: the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and Omar Arceo’s Youth Fly Fishing Program. By participating, you’re not just joining a tournament—you’re helping protect the flats we love and support the next generation of Belizean anglers.
