What You Need to Know

Q: What is the San Pedro Classic Fly Fishing Tournament?
A: The San Pedro Classic Fly Fishing Tournament is an annual event that brings together anglers from all over the world to compete in a catch-and-release fly fishing tournament in Belize.

 

Q: Are you a not-for-profit entity?
A: Yes, we are.  Proceeds from this Tournament will be split between the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust and Omar Arceo's Youth Fly Fishing Program.


Q: What is the tournament format?
A: The tournament format consists of three days of fishing followed by an awards ceremony.  Strictly a catch-and-release tournament focusing on Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon.

Q: Do I need to bring my own guide?
A: Yes, you will need to book a guide through an outfitter before the tournament. Guides are available for hire at an additional cost.  Reel Belize, Go Fish Belize, Blue Bonefish, and El Pescador are just a few outfitters that you can contact to hire a guide.

Q: What is the schedule for the San Pedro Classic Fly Fishing Tournament?
A: The tournament begins with a welcome dinner on the evening of Day 1, followed by three full days of fishing and culminating in an awards banquet on the final night.

Q: Is the San Pedro Classic Fly Fishing Tournament open to anglers of all skill levels?
A: Yes, the tournament is open to anglers of all skill levels, from novice to expert. We encourage everyone to come out and join in the fun!

When is the last day I can register?

July 1, 2024 is the last day you can register for the Tournament.

What is your refund policy?

Generally, there are no refunds.  We do have a 60-day cancellation policy where you will receive credit for next year's tournament
